Clan Chief




Hector MacAulay was elected Chief of the Clan MacAulay Association at the AGM on 7th August 2010 and will serve for the next five years. He was born in Nairn, brought up in Strathconon and educated at Dingwall Academy. His Father belonged to Kintail where the family history goes back for hundreds of years and his Mother belonged to Achiltibuie in Wester Ross. He Lives in Crieff, Perthshire with his wife Kate and is self employed as an Education Consultant, developing student enterprise and interpersonal skills throughout secondary schools in Scotland. As Clan Association Chief he wants to see the association in Scotland develop and expand to work effectively with our other worldwide associations. To develop new international structures where necessary, re-define objectives and create a new sense of vibrancy, purpose and belonging. He has huge experience of clan affairs having been Organising Secretary of the clan association for 12 years. During that time he played a central role in developing the association in Scotland through organising clan gatherings as well as encouraging progress worldwide. He also attended clan gatherings in Canada and the USA. Our Clan Chief is looking forward to working with as many members as possible to ensure we have a shared vision and an exciting future.
