You have options when planning your journey to Stornoway (Please note that there are other public transportation options that are not included here).
FERRIES
If you have a car and are journeying through the glorious Highlands to get to the Islands, a great option is to take the CalMac Ferry. It’s a wonderful experience. The ferry terminal is conveniently located near the Caladh Inn.
TIP: Book your ferries early even for foot traffic.
Ferry – Ullapool to Stornoway
Ferry Option A: Ullapool to Stornoway (2 1/2 hours)

Ferry Option B: Uig Ferry, Isle of Skye to Tarbert, Isle of Harris

FLYING
