Raffle to benefit the Clan MacAulay Heritage Fund
The Clan is dedicated to offering support to projects that directly relate to MacAulay heritage and history and maintains a dedicated fund for this purpose. The Zachary MacAulay Memorial, restoration of the Conan Pictish Stone and promotion of DNA research to expand our knowledge of family connections within Clan MacAulay are examples of the projects Clan MacAulay has supported.
We ask that Gathering attendees bring one item per person/couple to donate that will be raffled off on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening. Please ensure it is easily transportable as most of our Gathering attendees will be flying in. Tickets will be available for purchase; you keep one side of the ticket and drop the other side into a bag beside the donated item you hope to win. As there are draws on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, there will be three different colour bags and the raffle items will be divided by the night that they will be drawn.
The donated item could be representative of your local city, province/state/county, your country or Clan MacAulay. For example, Chief Joan brought an (easily transportable) basket of Saskatoon berry products, being as she lives in Saskatoon. Other past donations have included spirits from a local distiller, coffee mugs, toast tongs, whisky stones, artwork, etc. See this photo of past Gathering raffle donations for some ideas.
