Scotland events highlights for January (having recovered from the new year) include the finale of Edinburgh’s Christmas, Celtic Connections and the Speciality Food Show.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay
30th December 2018 – 5th January 2019, Edinburgh
The world’s greatest New Year party goes on for three days and nights of amazing events and fun with the traditional torchlit procession, street performers, fireworks, concerts, ceilidh, and of course, the big Hogmanay party itself.

Edinburgh’s Christmas
16th November 2018 – 5th January 2019, Edinburgh
Centred around Princes Street Gardens. The Light Night, the Traditional German Christmas Market, Santa’s Reindeer Garden, The Edinburgh Wheel, The Great Scottish Santa Run and Winter Wonderland and more, for the ultimate festive experience.

Irn Bru Carnival
23rd December 2018 – 13th January 2019, SECC Glasgow
Europe’s largest indoor fun fair, with over 60 rides and attractions, as well as new and exciting additions for thrill seekers, families and more kids rides than ever.

DB12 Run
6th January 2019, Strathclyde Park, Motherwell
Take part in a 6K, half marathon or marathon fun run to raise money for cats and dogs local community, and Diabetes Scotland.

Great Stirling Castle Run
12th January 2019, Stirling
Kick start the new year by overcoming the multi-terrain course through historic Stirling on paths, roads and trails.

Celtic Connections
17 January – 3rd February 2019, Glasgow
Scottish talent and artists from all over the world perform in ceilidhs and concerts across Glasgow, in what has become the worlds biggest winter music festival.
