“We would like to say the biggest and most heartfelt thank you to the organisers of the Clan MacAulay Association Gathering for their incredibly kind and generous donation of €500 to Buncrana Community First Responders. ![]()

This four-day celebration, taking place 12th–15th August here in Inishowen, is bringing together more than 85 MacAuley clan members from across the world to celebrate their shared heritage, reconnect with family and friends, and discover the beautiful place that is at the heart of so much of their ancestry.
People are travelling from Australia, Canada, the United States, Scotland, England, Ireland and beyond, with local MacAuley families also coming together for this very special occasion ![]()
And we are genuinely so extremely grateful that, as part of this wonderful gathering, the organisers chose to support Buncrana Community First Responders with a donation of €500.
What makes this donation even more special is knowing that it has come from people from so many different corners of the world.
To know that the work of our volunteers here in Buncrana is being seen and recognised across the globe means more than we can put into words. ![]()
Our CFR group is built on ordinary people giving their time to help their community when it matters most. We never imagined that the work we do here could reach people thousands of miles away, but this is a wonderful reminder of just how powerful community and social media can be.
Who knows, perhaps seeing what a small group of volunteers can achieve here in Buncrana might even inspire other communities around the world to come together and start their own Community First Responder groups.
That would be incredible![]()
Your generosity will help us continue the work we do and support our volunteers as we respond when our community needs us most.
We would also like to wish everyone attending the MacAuley International Clan Gathering the most incredible weekend.
We hope you have a fantastic time reconnecting with family, celebrating your heritage and enjoying everything that beautiful Donegal and Inishowen have to offer
Fáilte go Dún na nGall agus go raibh míle maith agat
