Grandfather Mountain Highland Games & Gathering of the Scottish Clans

“The MacAulays are HERE!”

This cry will be heard again at the Calling of the Clans during the Torchlight Ceremony for the Thursday, July 7 opening of the 66th Grandfather Mountain Highland Games & Gathering of the Scottish Clans held at MacRae Meadows, Linville, North Carolina.  The oldest and largest of Highland events in the USA, 2021 saw a crowd of 60,000 and this year’s event promises nothing less.

Join in this year’s celebration of Scottish ancestry and heritage that brings a “wee bit o’ Scotland” to the High Country of North Carolina where many Scots and Scots-Irish originally settled in the Carolina Colony.
